| the DXF file could be a polygon model and not nurbs, and thus it wouldn't work, but you can import the curves/polylines then you could extrude them. when extruding use the CAP command, look in the command line, this will make its ends cap. it would be most helpful to have an image of what your working on. you could hit print sceen on the keyboard and then paste the file inside Photoshop. then we could have a good idea of what you have on the screen. Just incase this helps.
