I just got my official copy of Rhino3D today. I had been rationing my limited "evaluation saves" until now. It was actually doing me some good to start over from the beginning each night as I tried to draw models of things like chuck backplates for the lathe and so on. I have also found the tutorials to be very helpful. It's going to take some effort for me to get proficient, but this is not Rhino's fault.
Incidentally, I got the software from www.ez-router.com. They had the best price I could find anywhere and are good people to deal with.
Best,
