Hi, hope someone can help.

I've created an assembly in Solidworks consisting of a number of overlapping solid parts. My aim is to import this assembly into Rhino 4 then create flattened surfaces that I can use for laser cutting parts. This works fine with a single part imported from solidworks 2007 but the assembly is seen by Rhino as a group of overlapping solid 3d parts, when I flatten the surfaces they are not trimmed in any way by the overlap.

Seems that I need to create one homogenous 3D shape in Rhino from the assembly, somehow create a surface or trim the parts to each other.

Any ideas? Thanks, Jonathan
