    Smile books on rino

    Hell all,Iv,e just started to play with this software and find it a little confusing.I,m new to it and was wondering if anyone knows of any good books on the subject,thanks.

    There should be tutorials with the software. There are also various tutorials available for free download on the net, just search for rhino tutorials. Combine that with some practicle application by designing some projects of your own and browsing over the help files and given time you should be at a reasonable level of compitency soon enough. I dont think there is really a need to buy a book.

    Thanks gentlemen for your responce.Also it seems that I went nuts with the tool bars,what main tool bars should I be using above others.Thanks.

    As far as toolbars go, it depends on what you're doing but I think for general use try Main, Standard and Dimension. The tools available from those toolbars would account for almost everything anyone would need for wireframe, surface and solid modeling, if you start cluttering the work area up with unnecesary toolbars you'll find there isn't enough space to show the windows well enough. In any case you should be able to execute all commands either by menus or the command line.

    I agree with Splint. Follow the tutorials encluded with Rhino. I did the duck and flashlight tutorials, and picked things up pretty quickly. But I did go through alot of trial and error. And still stumble on some things. But the tutorials will give you a pretty good idea of how to get things rolling.
