making a table leg

OK I have two offset rectangles(0,0,0-1.25,1.25,0 and 0,0,17-2,2,17) that I drew lines to connect the corners. How do I join the lines with the rectangles to make a solid?

Select both rectangles...

Surface > Loft > (hit enter)

Select the surface that you just created....

Solid > Cap Planar holes


Done.

Do you have any tutorials for Rhino? This was a pretty basic question, which leads me to believe you are struggling with Rhino. The tutorials would help a lot.

Thanks for the Rhino3D tutorial! The Rhino team did a fantastic job of reducing the learning curve from mountainous proportions to nothing more than a series of small hills that build on each other. Rhino3D is powerful stuff.

My eyes are still open after the Level 1 training marathon, so... if I could impose on you for the Level 2 tutorial you would earn my undying gratitude.

I'm currently using the Rhino3D Trial version and promised myself that I wouldn't purchase the full version until I learned how to use the software. Thanks to you I'm halfway there! I (and probably many others) have too many software titles that were purchased with every intention of learning how to use only to find out that they really weren't designed to do what I wanted, lacked adequate documentation, crashed while saving projects, etc. So far, Rhino3D seems to be worth my hard-earned dollars.
