RFQ: Die Cast Work - Short-run

Looking for someone to do a short run die cast for two parts, 100-200 ea. Items are approximately 5"x1.5"x1" and 4"x0.625"x1" and preferably from aluminum.

    Thanks kindly,
    Ted.

Perm-mold will have a cheaper tooling cost but for 200 pcs will still not be cost effective. Is this a part that could be machined from bar stock?

I've done 10 from billet and it took a fair bit of time... kinda cost prohibitive if you aren't doing them for yourself.

    SirThadious,

Have you considered ZA-12 or other zinc alloys? If they suitable, you may want to contact Graphicast. I have not worked directly with them, but have a former colleague who was their engineering manager.

    Hi Ted,

I've sent you a private message yesterday.

Please send the drawings of the two parts to my email: hugo@wizmetal.com and we'll quote you the die cast tooling cost and unit cost.

Looking forward to your early reply, thanks.

    Regards
    Hugo
