    RFQ: Ongoing Job

I'm looking to reduce the amount of warehoused product in my lineup. To judge the feasibility of that, I'm fielding quotes at the at the national level to hopefully find a supplier who can produce these part more affordably than the local shop that currently has the job for smaller quantities.

-Attached is the drawing, in PDF format.

    -The material is 6061 Al

-Please attach a shipping estimate to your quote; Zip 80209

-If anodizing is available, I would be interested in having that done on your end, but I still have a local supplier available. Cosmetic black ano, no special specs required.

-Quote for quantities of 10, 30, 100 parts. Or (setup cost)+(per part).

You can pm me your quotes on this forum.

    Thanks!

    Quote for Coupler R1

C.Logan: This is our first time with this website so if our attached quote does not reach you let us know. In the quote we made referance to the .005 callout on the tapped hole. In our experience a matter of how tight your test piece fits could throw the .005 tolerance out. We could quote it that way if necessary. We would rather give you .600 deep on the thread minimum. Please e-mail us and let us know how our bid compares.

    MICO

Did you mean to post your quote here so that someone else can see your quote and underbid you by 10 cents per part?

C.Logan: Our quote apparently went on the forum so we took it off. We are working on where to place it to get it to you. Thanks.

    MICO

Click on the username (C.Logan) and then click Send Private Message. That way your message will only be sent to him.

I did that. I could not attach the .xls spread sheet that we had prepared the quote on to the pm. Hoping to send it in a e-mail instead of typing it all in the pm. Thanks for helping though.

Haha. Sorry for the inconvenience, guys.

I've awarded test orders to 2 suppliers already. I would happy to see MICO's quote, but beyond that, I'm closed to new competition.

    Thank you all!

EDIT: Oh... I guess this forum doesn't let you lock your own threads... I'm suddenly reminded why I've only made a handful of posts in 4 years.
