Need help with g-code/CAD drawings for full-size 1911 grips

    Hi,

I'm new here and this is my first post.

I've been looking looking online for the g-code to make 1911 grips for a small little home project. But every time I stumble upon a file I can't seem to open it right. If anyone has a CAD drawing of full size 1911 grips, I could use those too. I found two .jpegs of it in this thread \\//

    Model/cut path/code needed.

but they are a bit blurry... not sure where to find the pdf version.

If someone has the g-code or could provide me with it, it would be much appreciated. Been working on my own for a bit and I think it's time to ask for help, still very new to this.

I work with carbon fiber and had some scrap to make these grips.

You'll need to edit the code to eliminate the ball milling of "Swigart".

Also, There is code for making the fixture.

I put the carbon fiber plate on with outside clamps and milled the thru holes and inside C'bores first, then flipped the whole plate over and lined up on the thru holes, clamped, C'Bored, installed screws. Screws must recess low enough to clear ball milling. Ball milled first, then finished the profile. Grips are seperated only at the end when profiled.

    Setup.doc has tool list.

files ending in .txt are the G-Code. There are M00's and Comments in the .txt files.
