Alright guys, I need these rings for a product I make, but do not have the means to make them in house. These will be made out of 6061 aluminum, and I figure starting with a piece of 5" OD .25" wall aluminum tubing will be by far the easiest.
The threads are 5" major diameter and 4.9" minor diameter with what appears to be a 4 TPI pitch (.25" between crests). I can provide more or less the exact piece needed in plastic for you to reference.
The total height of the ring will be 1" with a .125" step at the bottom for welding.
Overall OD is 5" and ID is 4.5" at the top, expanding to 4.52" at .25" down.
At the very bottom is an .090" tall locater to locate it in the fabricated assembly it is for.
Here are some quick drawings to give you an idea.
I'll probably get about 6-10 of them at first, but will make repeat orders.
Tolerances aren't too critical as long as the ring that is supposed to thread on there does. I'll provide all of that stuff to whoever gets the job. Figure maybe +/- .005".
I'm looking to get these ASAP. The sooner the better!
Thanks guys!
Andrew
