Also, could anyone confirm that my measurements are correct for the stock leadscrews for this machine? (24mm trapezoidal or acme, and 10 tpi). Thanks again.
Hi everybody, I am new to the site but this place looks like an awesome resource. I am hoping someone can help me out. I recently bought an enco rf45 clone that has a completely stripped x-axis leadscrew nut. I was hoping that I could make one, but it looks like it is going to be much more difficult and/or expensive than I had hoped. My plan was to make a tap from a piece of acme threaded rod...however I cannot find the correct size anywhere. It appears to be an 24mm trapezoidal thread but it has a 10 tpi pitch. I am now reaching out to you folks here to see if anyone has an old leadscrew nut hanging around that they have no need for now that their machine has been converted to ballscrews... I would just convert this machine to ballscrews but I don't have another mil and I'd really like to get this up and running. If anyone with an rf45 clone feels like looking around in their junk boxes for that old leadscrew nut, then please let me know! Thanks!
