    Default download error message... Help!

    I'm hoping someone can help me out.
    I cannot download to our laser as every time I try I get
    "The communication is broken for timeout. Please close and open the output window and retry."

    I have tested the USB cable back to the main board and reinstalled easy cut 5.3 on my laptop.

    Can anyone help me out please?

    Scott,

    You need to make sure a few things are ready and working right.

    * Make sure the USB cable is connected to the computer and controller card inside the laser machine.
    * Make sure the laser machine is powered on.
    * Make sure the USB driver is correctly installed for the Motion control card.
    * make sure the dongle is installed in the USB port.
    * make sure the USB dongle driver is correctly working.
    * make sure to have a ground wire from laser machine frame to the case of the

    A few questions for you..
    What operating system are you using?
    Do you have the original CD for installing the EasyCut 5.3?
    Does the Windows Device Manager correctly identify the motion controller card?
    Does your software use the USB dongle? What color? can you send a picture of the dongle?

    If you are still unable to get this working.. please call for a PC connection via internet.. I can check your drivers and try to help get you going. I can also ask Red Sail for help with updated drivers and software.. Hope they are in a good mood for tech support.

    ... the worst case scenario.. You have a damaged motion card and will need to be replaced.
