speed control with MIDI servo controller?

Hi all,

There are a few servo controller boards that use MIDI interface such as the one at

And for this type of boards, ordinary MIDI sequencer software (yes, a music software) is used to control the board instead of dedicated servo control software like robo-ware etc.

Now I have some MIDI knowledge and I can see that it will be no sweat to turn on and off the servo and rotating the servo to desired position with MIDI sequencer.

However I do not see a way to control the rotation speed of the servo with MIDI sequencer.

Anyone of you successfully controlled servo speed MIDI way?

I am especially interested in "timed" way of controlling servo speed. It works like this:

you give a movement and specify the time in which this movement should be completed, let's say 2 second, then the software calculates all necessary variables (such as velocity etc.) and completes the movement on 2 second mark.

I found out that most SSC boards like MiniSSC ll, SSC-32 have this function. I wonder this is possible with MIDI sequencer....
