| Funny to see this pop up. A few years ago, I saw the first scooter on Slashdot.org. I showed it to a couple of students and before i knew it they were trying to make their own. They documents some of their work here: http://www.buonomo.org/craigway/index.html Here is a video clip of the prototype: http://www.buonomo.org/craigway/craigway_divx.avi The motors were never strong enough to keep you balanced, but the code and gyro would cause the machine to move in the intended direction. It was more like a surfboard than a segway. Thansk to these guys, we learned a lot and I had to buy the real segway. |
