Found nice educational robot!

I was given this little machine:

it is pneumatically operated with lots of electrically controlled valves and sensors. It even has a pressure sensor for the gripper.

There are some good sized slides on it so i'm thinking of stripping it for CNC-machine parts...what do you think?

What was the robot designed to do?

I think it was a simple educational tool but made with good parts...I also has a Hitachi PLC to control it.
I think it was uset with some sort of small conveyer-belt machine to simulate a small production facility.

Thats really cool I've always wanted to get into robotics. I'm a CNC Programmer/setup/machinist man myself and have near no exp. with robotics.
