I need some pointers here. Thought maybe the bright gentlemen on this board could point me in the right direction.

I need to be able to convert a manually adjustable machine with either hydraulics or servos.

What this machine does is flakes grain. Currently, you adjust them by turning out a big nut which acts as a stop on a hydraulic cylinder.

What I need to do is automatically measure the weight per bushell of the flakes coming out peiodically, and make computer assisted mechanichal adjustments to the machine in order to maintain a consistent weight. It would also be benificial to measure the motor load (amp gage)on the machine and automatically adjust the feeding mechanism faster or slower as well. This is currently done with a speed control which is dialed up or down manually on the feeding mechanism's motor.

Thanks for any advice in advance.
