ProE Wildfire conversions from 3.0 to 4.0 Has anyone tried opening a 4.0 file in Wildfire 3.0? I was told that it would not work and will cause problems. Especially with backup files. Does anyone have a solution to this or know of a convertor? Thanks in advance, Tyler

As far as I know, WildFire is not backwards compatible, so you won't be able to open 4.0 files in 3.0. But that's just what I was told; I've never tried it myself. We've exported ProE neutral files (.NEU) for use in previous versions and that works just fine, except for the fact that the model tree is lost and the geometery comes in as one lump.

There is a way to do what you want, you have to download the granite converter from the ptc website. You have to change a couple of config options and install the file. There are different versions from going 2 to 3 and 2 to 4.
