    ProE G83 Problem

Whenever I try to do a G83 drill cycle using the default "Automatic Hole Depth" option my post processor never creates the correct G code, and the CNC always drills the holes starting from the wrong z-axis height.

I know it's not a problem with ProE, just my post processors. NC_Check/Play Path/Vericut all show the proper drill location, but the G-Code never exports correctly. Everything else works fine.

Does anyone know how to properly configure the G83 post processor options for Bridgeport/Haas CNC's?

I think the problem involves confusion between absolute & program coordinate systems.

    Thanks,
    Joe

    Bidgeport post

I have the same problem ... for the Bridgeport machines it seems like the z move has to be an incremental move calculated from the retract plane... How to enforce this behaviour through Pro Nc's post processor configurator is a mystery to me... yet...

    any ideas?
