    4 axis indexing

    Hi

How is a 4 axis index program done. I understand setting the machine for four axis in the operation setup.

But where do I go from there?

    Thank You

If you're just doing indexing then the easiest thing to do is make all your nc sequences as 3 axis with a different sequence CSYS for each index position. I'd keep it simple by using CSYS all at the same origin as the operation CSYS, just pivoted on your A (or B) axis. If you're doing 4 axis holemaking, the easiest way is to use a 5 axis holemaking routine - the only other option is separate 3 axis holemaking sequences for each orientation.
