    Making Pro-E display more accurate dimensions

    My Pro-E 3.0 shows most to the hundredth. Is there a way to get the program to show a higher number?

    For example when I enter 1/8" I put in .125 and it rounds up to .13 unless I enter the dimension twice in which is makes it "strong."

    I am a beginner with this program so thanks in advance!

    In the tools menu options you can change the default_dec_places value to 3 that should make it do what you want.

    Where do I find that? I clicked on Tools, and I don't have menu there.

    Mine does not look like that, with version 3.0. What version are you using?
    It looks similar, but the window on the left is completely blank.

    I saved it, and the part I was making doesn't show the extra decimal places.

    ok so as i understand config options once you have them set and saved everything you create afterwards will be how you want it and everything before the change will not update. I do think you should change the "current session" to whatever the other option is. Your ptc reseller could definitly help you get setup with a proper config.pro setup. So to test your current session settings make a new drawing to see if the num of decimals displayed changes.

    or another option would be to create a mapkey that changes the decimals to 3. You can add this to your config options

    type in the option box mapkey

    then copy and past this

    dc3 @MAPKEY_NAME3 decimal places;@MAPKEY_LABEL3 decimal places;~ Select `main_dlg_cur` `MenuBar1`1 `Format`;~ Close `main_dlg_cur` `MenuBar1`;~ Activate `main_dlg_cur` `Format.psh_fmt_edit_digits`;3;

    into the value box click add/change
    click apply
    click ok
    then whenever you want to change the decimals on you drawing type dc3
