This looks really neat. Are the units in mm? is there a way to change them to inches? Thanks!
Hi,
We wrote a small program, which generates G-code from any TTF (true type fonts).
Under XP, just place the special font files to .../windows/fonts/... library and you can engrave text with your new fontset from Mach or other CNC controller software.
The software is completely free to use, we wrote it just for fun and help the CNC community.
Download it here: http://www.cncdrive.com (at the download section)

Hi,
Thanks.
I think it's no problem if it's in mm's or inches, it's in Units.
When you load it e.g. into MACH, one unit will be 1, so it depends on only how did you set up MACH, inches or mm's.
There's no explanition in G-codes for unit type!
I hope you get the idea.
Try to load the generated code into MACH and you will understand, I think.

I supose (LOL)
Programming in Inches requires more horsepower and more material.
Programming in mm requires more killowatts and less material.
Super X3. 3600rpm. Sheridan 6"x24" Lathe + more. Three ways to fix things: The right way, the other way, and maybe your way, which is possibly a faster wrong way.
Hello !
This was a very nice prg. Did som "wingdings" in a copperplate. Just one question, How can I engrave mirror text? Is there any option to get the text in mirror ?
Sorry if this is a stupide question, I'm not so good at this but learning....

Hi,
Thanks for the appritiation.
No, it's not a stupid question, it's a very good question.
There's no option, yet to mirror the text, the only reason is that it wasn't in my mind to code that into the program.
I will make this option, as soon as I will have some freetime.
Thanks for the idea, it will make the program more comfortable.

Balazs
Thanks for your answer.
Again, this prg is super, so easy to use an to make a plexi screen it has everything and is quick and easy to use. I was thinking if the machin has mirrored x-axis the text will be right engraved on a copperplate I guess.... or... Am I thinking wrong?
Greetings
Bengt
Thanks neilw20, I will try this later tonight
