New TechProbe Digitizer Scans 2-and-3 Dimensional Objects Quickly and Easily

New Hyde Park, New York — Techno, Inc. is excited to announce their newest CNC Accessory: the TechProbe Digitizer. The new digitizing probe mounts easily to any of Techno’s Servo CNC systems via a ¼” collet. The user-friendly TechProbe software will digitize 2-dimensional object with complex curves, or 3-dimensional objects with geometric parts. Input
the object scan-area dimensions and desired step-resolution into the software and the program automatically collects data. Most of the software’s default settings, like speeds and resolutions, will not
have to be reconfigured.

Scanned 2-dimensional objects are generated onto the screen in a field of automatic toolpath points while 3-dimensional objects generate a point cloud. Techno’s TechProbe software allows you to view the scan through its active-preview window. Both 2-and 3-D scanned point images can be saved in ASCII file format where they can easily be imported into most CAD/CAM programs.
