We have been offering our EZ-Comp System
(http://www.ovationengineering.com/EZComp.htm) for automatic tool
compensation on Okuma lathes for over a decade. We have integrated the
system with both the Okuma RS-232 post process gaging Option and through use of User Task II. We have sold these systems almost exclusively through OEM machine tool and gaging companies.

Recently, we successfully tested our "EZ-Comp II" System at Gosiger in
Plymouth, MI. The EZ-Comp II System is PC based software developed at the
request of several of our OEM's that will run in the THINC Series controls (P100 & P200) to create the same functionality of the EZ-Comp System with no additional hardware requirements. The user can connect the RS-232 output from the gage directly to the USB port of the machine, select the appropriate gage type in the EZ-Comp II software, program compensation limits, and measure parts.
Tool or work offset corrections occur automatically with no operator
intervention required.
