Kirkpatrick Consulting - KirkCon - Spiral Taper G-code Generator
The Spiral Taper G-code Generator is available now.
Can be used to rough or finish mill tapered holes without the use of tapered end mills or tapered reamers.
Demo version has Export (to text file) disabled. Upgrade to Lite version to enable Export, so you can copy the output G-code into your CNC file.
Download the Demo version now at Kirkpatrick Consulting - KirkCon - Spiral Taper G-code Generator.

Where is it at? The file is missing!
Its up for one day and you start to complain and then pull it.
Give it some time. Takes time to evaluate, and then respond.

Looks good can it be processed using G90, could you adapt it to do spiral square & rectangle pockets with straight & tapered walls

Sorry for any inconvenience. Link should be corrected now.

Don't you have to have a G43 when using a H tool offset Z position?
G43H1Z1.
Thanks for the feed back. Some machines yes. Some machines no. The major point of this exercise was to automate calculating the cutting points, not to generate a finished G-code program ready to load to the CNC control and run. Note there also is not any work zero call out, G54, G55, etc. Also at the end, there is no return to home position call out, G0 G28 G91 Z0. There is also no roughing tool path option. Again, it is not intended to be a tool to write an entire program. It is intended to generate a smooth spiraling, tapering tool path from the top of a tapered hole to the bottom.
This basic program can be customized to your needs. Send a private message with those needs to get pricing.

Any other feedback? Positive and negative comments welcome.

Thanks for the feedback. Some feedback that was received:
good start, but needs a lot of refinement
not a big fan of G91 programming
help screen with descriptions of each field
need value error checking
why G41 only
why for inside only
why not a outside cone too
91 degree or greater angle get a double negative Y number
create the graphics in program to verify the code would help
could do this routine in an excel spread sheet or even parametric sub routine in Gcode using variables
not worth $25

This software was never intended to be the do-all be-all of programming software. It was never intended to have unlimited options for outputting G-code. It was never intended to be purchased by or used by folks that are intelligent enough and industrious enough to write their own G-code. This software is a "quick and dirty" solution to a problem that was presented here on CNCzone. The value of this software would come to the person who feels there time is worth something and the sooner they can get back to making parts, they can get back to making money. So, for a one time purchase on a one-trick pony, this can save the average person about 30 minutes of their time and they can get back to machining sooner. If you need to prep a hole for NPT tap or NPT thread mill and do not have a taper reamer or a taper end mill, this software might just do the job for you.

"why G41 only" - G41 is usually gentler on cutters and does not "overcut" material by digging in if there is any tool deflection.
"why not a outside cone too" - Actually if you put in a negative value for the One-side Angle, it will make a taper smaller at the top and larger at the bottom. You would need to change the lead-in and lead-out moves and either/or the cutting direction or cutter compensation.
"91 degree or greater angle get a double negative Y number" - 90 degrees on the single side angle makes a "hole" with the sides 180 degrees apart. Not reasonable or practical to do this.
