Updated information on the floppy disk drives hardware interfaces and FDD enumarator to replace 3.5 inch and 8 inch floppy disk drive units. these device are not externally USB floppy disk drives.
The EMUFDD emulator is a hardware floppy disk emulator.
It works like a bridge.
One side is connected to the CNC / machinery, using the
floppy disk flat cable: 34pin, 26pin, ...
it depends on the original floppy drive !
The other side is the front panel, where you can
- [USB] plug in standard USB keys with no special format
- [ETHERNET] plug in the standard RJ45 connector

No, you can't find any other product even similar to EMUFDD.I've also found others for around $50-$400... I believe they cost less than the EMUFDD
Obviously our focus is on
- strange/special industrial machinery
- endurance in harsh industrial environment
- CNC editing software integration and floppy virtualization
- floppy disk analysis and support for backup of existing data
If you simply need to emulate a HD floppy
on a PC or on a musical keyboard then you
can simply buy a chinese emulator at 15$.
