    new design idea of HM-145X linear guide

    Hi Merry Christmas!
    With the emergence of the new technology, new materials and new technology and changing market demands, a completely new structure of modern CNC machine CNC machine tools has emerged, different from with the traditional features. Despite the high-speed, high precision, complex and intelligent have already recognized as the world machine tool industry trends and goals, the world-renowned machine tool companies formed a distinctive product line due to cultural background, development approaches and market positioning factors such as different factors. We should study and learn it. By analysis of the characteristics of a product (HM-145X) from How-Mau Machinery Co., Ltd. of Taiwan , I put forward my own ideas on the design concept of modern CNC machine tools.
    When I have a more comprehensive understanding on this machine , I do an objective assessment on this machine.
    Because main market of this model positioned in the DIY market, painting of this machine abandoned the mainstream color most of industrial machines, gives the player a fresh visual experience.
    Many machine manufacturers, at this stage, put forward the "productivity per unit area" concept. Given the size of the venue each buyer different, the structure of HM-145X is more compact, the electrical box back hanging, the cooling system (radiator) in the bottom cabinet to minimize the unnecessary area.

    new disign idea of HM-145X CNC mill

    HM-145X spindle part is of the direct drive technology, which uses built-in motor direct drive to the machine so that the length of the transmission chain is shorted to zero. the machine tool to achieve "zero transmission." The spindle motor and machine spindle are combined into one. As a result, he spindle components are relatively independent from transmission system and machine overall organization. At the same time, this kind of "direct-drive spindle" is of advantages of a compact body, light weight, inertia, vibration, low noise, fast response, etc., and high speed. Speed can be controlled in 3000--12000R/min. The electronic spindle not only make drive chain more simple, but also better to improve the dynamic performance of machine tools.
    Vertical milling machine structure determines the spinlde up and down along the column. Although Z axis with brake function, because the weight of the spindle head itself impact a force on a vertical column downward, the connection pact of column and spindle will be slightly deformed and easy to pull the parts of the motor brake bad without integrated/ balance weight. Therefore, designers take integrated/ balance weight into account to solve this problem. This Moveable Weight Technology makes the pull forces from the front and back of the column equal, inssures the machine precision and protects the brake parts of the motor at the same time.

    more advantages

    The machine table (size 300mm × 200mm × 300mm), material is high strength cast iron. After work table casting, a mechanical resonance method is used to eliminate internal stress and increase higher strength to ensure precision not lost due to work table slight deformation . The precision grinding technique is used during work table precessing.

    The difference between hard rail and linear guide
    The general guide, also known as a hard track, is referring to the whole casting of rail and the bed. First, casting the guide on bed and then, through hardening, grinding-processed, rail is finished. Maybe rail and bed have not one whole, such as the inlaid steel rail nailed in the bed after processing. The general called linear guide in the NC field is rolling guide. It is also now frequently used in the linear module in machine tool industry. We usually call it as "straight rail", such as Japan THK, Taiwan Intime (AMT), the silver (HIWIN) specialize in the production of this linear guide. Linear guide could be divided into two parts rail and slider. There are circulating slider or roller ball within rail and the slider length can be customized. It is a modular component, standardized series separate product, produced by specialized manufacturers , can be installed on the machine. It can be removed and replaced after wear and tear.

    The advantages of ball screws

    Hard track is mainly used for heavy cutting in model making while linear guide is mainly used for light cutting in products . Now in domestic market in terms of the most popular assembly machines, the price is slightly higher than hard-line rail track. Light is relative to heavy cutting, heavy cutting with low-speed, light cutting with high speed, respectively fit the machine hard track or linear guide, to achieve the same processing requirements. Same thing! Comprehensive speaking, the hard track is good in the rigid. However, lubrication is not convenient and track adjusting is of a lot of trouble. The advantages of linear guide are high speed, rolling resistance small, no creeping phenomenon, convenient lubrication. After longed period of time, accuracy losses less.
    The advantages of ball screws

    1Compared with the sliding screw, torque vice is 1 / 3. Screw ball ball does a lot rolling motion between screw shaft and ball screw nut , so we could get higher efficiency. Compared with the sliding screw, rolling torque vice is 1 / 3 that is, to achieve the same exercise, the required power is less than 1 / 3 of sliding. It is helpful in saving power.

    2High-precision
    ball screw are produced by machinery and equipment of more accuracy and high level of coherence .

    3Micro-feed
    Because of screw ball movement instead of the sliding movement like crawling,, a starting torque is very small to ensure accurate fine feed.

    4No backlash, high rigidity ball screw can be added to preloading/ prepressing which make axial clearance achieve negative pressure, and further to get the higher rigidity. Within the ball screw, pre-stress is added by screw balls. In practice of mechanical device, due to the repulsion, ball screw nut can enhance the rigidity .

    5High-speed ball screw feed due to ball screw movement of high efficiency, less heat.
