SyiL is pleased to announce the first bolt on retractable high speed engraving spindle, SyiL has been working hard with SyiL Canada to design new cutting edge components for the mid-size CNC market.
Syil's new bolt on retractable air spindle utilizes a 56,000 rpm air spindle, this air uses a small CFM footprint. This low volume CFM spindle allows any user with a small compressor to run this advanced air spindle.
Our spindle allows users to use the main spindle and the engraving spindle in one program. This can be a essential component for manufactures that are required to serialize part as this can be done with in the same set up.
The retractable high speed engraving spindle is also essential to the home hobby user, as this type of spindle allows for intricate, artistic engravings. As prior to the air spindle, due to the 3500 rpm spindle max engraving was painfully slow and very hard on tools.
Our retractable air spindle was specifically designed for engraving, our spindle is not to be used for general purpose milling. Through all of extensive testing we have found either single point carbide engraving endmills or 4 flute pointed carbide endmills to work the best. We have also found that it is best not to have the tool not extended far out of the air spindle.
