MicroCentric Dual Actuator Precision Power Chucks | |
MicroCentric Corp. dual actuator precision power chucks features two actuators for each master jaw providing increased clamping force and higher RPM capability. Greater rigidity is achieved resulting in improved accuracy at high draw tube forces. In addition, increased chuck life is also attained due to reduced load on the actuators and master jaws, since the load is distributed over twice as much surface area compared to the original design. The dual actuator design is available in the PPC Series from 4” to 12” models.
With a standard repeating accuracy of .0001” (0.0025mm), the dual actuator PPC series chucks are ideal for precision finishing applications on turning and grinding machines using a draw tube actuated chuck. All PPC chuck models feature a through hole. MicroCentric’s patented QC top jaw locating system is standard on all dual actuator PPC models.
