Pacific Bearing is on a distinguished road
Arrow New Integral V™ 3D CAD Files Uploaded to Part Community!

Several new Integral V™ 3D models have been posted to Part Community—PBC Linear’s 3D CAD library. These new 3D models give each viewer an in-depth look at all angles of each Integral V configuration. A cost efficient and reducing linear guide system, Integral V™ Technology (IVT) drives down costs by eliminating unnecessary mounting components and reducing overall alignment time. This is achieved using PBC Linear’s patent pending SIMO™ (Simultaneous Integral Milling Operation) process. As the IVT extrusion passes through the SIMO™ machine, it is concurrently and consistently machined on all sides to provide a rigid and highly precise extrusion—thereby reducing the need for extra mounting components and alignment at no added cost!

Used in a wide variety of linear motion applications such as CNC routers, XY gantries, and precision pick and place machines, Integral V™ linear guides fit seamlessly into most industries. So take a quick look at the 3D models recently uploaded on Part Community. From IVT bolt-on to IVT compact guides, all available configurations and sizes have been posted

Examples

Hi - I would like to thank Pacific Bearing for all of the efforts and support of their products. Certainly the breadth of product offering is amazing.

In some ways, the number of offerings is so comprehensive, that it is actually quite difficult for a home builder / DIY'r to actually choose one and really use it properly. In particular, this is challenging as we are always looking at how to design a cnc router with good components and at a reasonable price point.

I would like to encourage Pacific Bearings (or one of their distributors) to help us DIY'rs by actually constructing a CNC Router using your components and publishing the design as a reference and building it right here on the forum. An excellent place to post such a build would be here: http://cnczone.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=209

I would like to encourage you to build it with one of the rolling element designs and not with the Frelon bearings, as most of us do not have the floor space to deal with the length to width spacing requirements of that product.

An excellent reference design would be to make a system that can handle:
- a full 4 x 8 sheet of plywood
- Double sided cutting of a full 4 x 8 sheet of 4 - 6 inch thick machinable foam.
- 12 x 12 inch printed circuit board for 0603 size components.

If your reference design can do this, then you will certainly get more orders from this DIY community.

Selecting components that can be reasonably shipped to places like Australia, etc. will make it even more interesting, as shipping costs tend to dominate some system builds. Of course, parts made in North America are more interesting to me than parts made in the far east, if given the choice. (including the bearings)

This is just a suggestion / request of course.

Thanks

HarryN
