This may bring the thread out of focus, but anyway my suggestion is: Make available a version that has all the features, but can only be used to make X projects within a timespan of Y days. It would not be possible for a company to use this version to make a living, but it would provide a large number of "amateur users" that someday may convert into professionals and buy the full version or create a pressure on employers. Does this make openings for non-fair use? Maybe, but if most of it is plugged, it could be compensated by the number of users "coming from below". And if this possibility does not include official support (a significant cost), the cost of doing this would be low.

All you have to do is shoot them an email asking about the prices with the $500 discount. They got back to me pretty quickly. Unfortunately still out of my range. I have liked what I"ve seen people saying, and the screen shots I"ve seen. Maybe one day.....

Yeah, I can agree with you there, I find it frustrating when prices aren't listed on a companys website. But sometimes they don't always have a set price. They'll often lower their price if you get them on the phone and show some reluctant interest.

I was expecting an email from OneCNC UK today but nothing arrived. I was also wanting information on pricing, alongside the offer - I was also interested to know whether they offered educational discounts for school use. We've broken up for the Christmas hols now so I'll have to wait three weeks for the answer. Mike

The software looks fantastic but it kinda looks expensive too. I'm almost afraid to ask honestly Acad2005 cost me like 3600.00 which I can justify. Its really nice for them to pick us for the rebate though, you don't see that often.
