| I am happy to announce the website launch of CNCRouterParts.com. There are currently only two components for sale on the site, but I will be epanding my product offerings soon. The products I have allow for the easy construction of axes based around 1/2" ACME screws using 8020's 15 series extrusion (disclaimer, these parts are not created or endorsed by 8020 inc). Feel free to check it out! www.cncrouterparts.com Thanks, Ahren |

| The dimensions on the parts are designed to line up with 3" x 1.5" extrusion, with 1.5" spaced T-slots. Since ITEM appears to be metric extrusion, I don't think it will work very well. The 80x40 is the closest match, but all the dimensions will be off by between 1/16" and 1/8", which is more than the hole clearances in my parts can compensate for. However, TSLOTS extrusions will definitely work -- their 3" x 1.5" extrusion is interchangeable with 8020's if you would rather go that route. Also, Bosch has a 1.5" x 3" profile that is compatible, although you will need to enlarge the holes on the motor mount and bearing blocks (easy enough with a drill press or hand drill) to accomodate their metric fasteners. You can check them out below: www.tslots.com http://www13.boschrexroth-us.com/framing_shop/ Ahren |

| I stand corrected on the Bosch extrusion. You can use my bearing mounts and motor mounts as is to mount to the T-slots if you purchase their #10, 5/16-18 T-nuts. However, if you want to mount the motor mount to the end of a piece of extrusion, it appears they are set up for a 3/8" tap, so you would have to drill out the mounting holes on the motor mount plate. | All, Just wanted to let you know that the recommended parts list (with vendors and part numbers) to create an axis with 1/2" ACME screw has been added to the site. These are parts I've used on my own router, so I have searched extensively to find the best parts and prices. Check it out! www.cncrouterparts.com/parts.html Now you have the ability to build an axis with off the shelf parts, no machining required, with only a limited budget. Get building! | I'm pleased to announce that www.cncrouterparts.com is now selling NEMA 34 motor mounts that work with our same bearing system! Below is a picture of one of the new parts, along with a picture of one of the parts used on my router: |

| Groomden, Good timing on your question -- I just had some time this evening to work on the proto. Pics are below. I should get the rack mounted this weekend, and if my drives show up, I'll be able to run this baby this weekend. I promise video when it's working, and thanks to all of you for waiting on me while I develop this. On another note, at Paul's request (the site owner) I'm moving posts about this into the DIY CNC router forum -- he doesn't want a prolonged discussion in the product announcement thread. Please look for the link in the DIY CNC Wood router section, and I'll make one final post here with the URL for those following this thread.
