Introducing the D510-FW, a solid state 5hp dc motor controller with automatic field weakening for use in shunt wound DC motors requiring RPMs above base speed. The unit works as follows. At Zero armature the field is at max. Increasing the armature over a adjustable crossover point, the field supply gradually reduces. Decrease the armature and the field returns to max. It has built in field loss and optional field economizer ( external relay required) for more information and specs please email jonathan@beel.ca please note that the unit in the picture is a complete fwd/revering version. The D510-FW is the module on the left side. |

| Is there actually a market for a controller for 5hp and Under, wound field motors? I would have thought the larger DC spindle motor market would have been more lucrative? The vast majority I come across under 5hp are P.M. field now? Just an observation. Al.

Hi Believe it or not there are still a large amount of older machines ie lathes, drill presses etc that use shunt wound dc motors. While the D510-FW is a small unit, I am able to supply the dc world with controllers up to 500hp with the adjustable field supply found in the D510-FW Last edited by beelindustrial; 06-05-2011 at 12:57 PM. |
