Thanks Arjen,

Vcarve Wizard is a totally new software product that offers very unique and powerful 3D VCarving functionality at a fraction of the price of most other software products.

braidmeister is an unknown quantity at this point

All I can say is ~ Wow!

This is a great little piece of software for anyone who wants to jump into V-carving straight away. I REALLY like the toolpath preview and rendering screen! ~ Especially how you can switch materials and colors around.

I did a few sample cuts with V-Carve Wizard and they were faster and cleaner than my $8,000 carving software...At $495...it's one heck of a deal!

-Brady

PS- Let us know if you develop 3D carving software!

Great software, I have not cut anything using the trial toolpaths yet, but the rogram is so easy to use. Top job Tony Mac.

I have not viewed any Artcam videos but with V-carving Wizard priced at $495.00 It is worth a look as compared to the cheapest Artcam product I saw for $3000.00 (Artcam Insignia).

Hi,

How are you people doing 3D engraving if not Artcam? Vcarve seems ok, but for 2D only.

Smile New VCarving Software

Hello Alarants,

The process of VCarving into a material moves the cutter in all 3 axes simultaneously (X, Y & Z at the same time), and is also sometimes referred to as 3D Engrave.

VCarve Wizard is not designed for 3D Engraving over sculptured relief forms or surfaces, which requires ball-nosed tooling and takes longer to produce the finish piece. Not to mention more technical and higher priced software, such as the ones you mention.

VCarve Wizard is a 'low cost software tool' that allows virtually anyone with a CNC machine to carve decorative designs using V shaped tools, very quickly and easily on their own CNC machine without any prior Training.

It's worth downloading just to use for generating high quality shaded images of carved designs - You get this functionality for FREE!

Hope this helps,

Tony Mac
