I am near completion of a new low cost 3-Axis Desktop CNC machine for the home user. http://www.cncdudez.com Final price is not confirmed yet, but we will be keeping it as low as we can. Pages need to be updated with newer pictures hopefully this weekend. A new controller box will be supplied that is nearly finished that incorporates an LCD Screen displaying various status information. Control of steps Full, Half, Quarter and eigth can be controlled via external rotary switches. The built in controller power supply is variable and can deliver 0-35V at 3Amps. The Motor drivers can handle upto 35V at 2.5A per Phase. Motors are 1.82A, 1,8, 2.46v As well as being able to use the standard LPT port pins to make the controller compatible with existing controller software, it will also have a USB port. The USB Port will allow data (Such as Gcodes) to be sent to a 68 Pin Pic Chip running at 40mhz that will control the Motor controller direct. The processor will have a boot loader so people who want to develop their own code can simply download the data without the need of a pic programmer. I will be releasing and playing with code as we go along that people can simply download from the site and upgrade the firmware as needed. The Frame again has been updated since the pictures and now has protective flexi conduit on cables and Direct Drive Motors instead of belts for the X and Y. The Final price will include everything you need, frame, motors, controller box, leads and includes drill and a set of Carbide milling cutters. So as soon as it arrives people can unpack and get going. Will update here and web page as we go along. Regards Sean.

| Hi, It is nice. I have seen in Germany a very similar machine....but more cheaper, as you said 1000 pounds. This is the link www.hobbyshop24.com. I do not know if they sell it anymore, but maybe this information is helpful for you. Zoltan |
