MISUMI UNVEILS NEW GT SERIES TIMING PULLEYS AND BELTS, ALSO OFFERS NEW INCH MACHINING OPTIONS FOR MANY TIMING PULLEYS

High torque GT Timing Pulleys provide accurate positioning, minimal backlash.
New inch-based shaft bore machining options in many timing pulley models provide users with added flexibility and convenience.

MISUMI USA, Inc., a subsidiary of MISUMI Corporation, part of MISUMI Group, Inc. (TOKYO: 9962), recently announced several new and enhanced products to its wide array of Timing Pulleys, Belts and Keyless Bushings. These components are used by machine builders and OEMS in the design and assembly of rugged factory automation and motion control machinery and systems.

The new MISUMI products and product enhancements include:

GT Timing Pulleys and Belts. This high torque series includes four types of rugged, round tooth profile Timing Pulleys (2GT, 3GT, 5GT and 8YU), built to deliver exceptionally durable performance in high accuracy positioning applications, with minimal backlash. Each product type comes in a variety of styles and a wide range of sizes (e.g., width, number of teeth, etc.).

For the 3GT, 5GT and 8YU versions, users can select construction material options that include 2017 aluminum alloy (Duralumin), 1045 carbon steel, or 1045 carbon steel with black oxide finish. The 2GT version comes in 2017 aluminum alloy (Duralumin) with 5052 aluminum alloy flange and clear anodized finish. They can also specify shaft bore machining options, such as location and configuration. MISUMI offers a range of GT Series Timing Belts for use with the GT Timing Pulleys. Shipping time for the new products is six (6) days.

Enhanced Shaft Bore Machining Options. Responding to customer requests, MISUMI now offers inch-based shaft bore machining options – in addition to metric – for many of its most popular lines of Timing Pulleys. These include:
• MXL, XL, L and H Types – conventional trapezoidal timing pulleys for standard torque applications
• S2M, S3M, S5M and S8M Types – circular-arc timing pulleys for high torque applications
• T Types – trapezoidal toothed timing pulleys for conveyance of light loads and transmissions
• AT Types – heavy duty timing pulleys offering 1.3 more allowable tension than T Types to facilitate heavy load conveyance.

Shipping time for these products range from 6-8 days, depending on specifications.

To accompany the timing pulleys, MISUMI also offers an exceptionally broad range of Timing Belts, including conventional belts for transmissions, timing belts with attachments for conveyance, tooth count configurable long timing belts, and open end belts.
