I know a lot of you already use this place, but just wanted to let anyone who is looking for motion control products that this place treats customers well, even us little guys. I requested their catalog, got it in 3 days, ordered and had parts in a week. Even got a follow up phone call to see that everything was as it should be. Prices were very resonable too considering what I ordered. I have no connection whatsoever to the company, etc. etc. Dave |

I agree Dave, I just ordered the 3D CD Cad drawings and the inch catalog , about a week later got a call making sure that I received it and If I have any questions. No pressure at all, just stating that they are there when and if we need them. I am kicking the Idea around about building a CNC lathe and will be ordering from them as necessary. Whatcha building Dave ![]() Ken

I too have ordered from Misumi. I have found pricing to be sometime less than 1/2 the cost of other sources. Fast processing, excellent service, and they have almost everthing. Again....I have no connection whatsoever to the company, etc. etc

Nervis1: "I'm makin a new kind of constant passive motion (CPM) machine with an Orthopedist, used for rehab after knee replacements." Dave, I started going to the gym again some months ago after not having been in the last 20 years. They had all the latest trendy gear such as a fingerprint validator to get in to the place and all the gym equipment was by "Technogym" the Italian manufacturer. In spite of having the latest trendiest looking gear that money can buy, you still have to carry around with you a card listing the machine number and what weights you were using on your last visit. Some people don't worry about the card and just use the "try/adjust/try" method on each machine, every time. I'm sure everyone else at the gym is content to pass the time just looking at themselves in the mirror but not me. My brain immediately went into overdrive thinking: imagine if you arrive at each machine, punch in your code (or read your fingerprint) and the machine immediately adjusts its seating position and also the resistance (equivalent to weight but done by adjustable passive motion and after you've done your 20 reps or whatever you get the green light to move on to the next machine. You'd probably even have all the machines hooked up in a network so that when you finish your workout it will tell you how many calories you've burned up in total. Before you tell me I'm crazy, I'll say: yes I know. By the way, I gave up on the gym thing knowing that you can't make a Mercedes out of a Mazda! Seriously though Dave, I believe there are huge possibilities for machines of this type using CPM. (that used to stand for cardio-pulmonary-massage) Don't wait for this particular Orthopedist. Go and develop it yourself. Patients with any trauma related injury (car accidents etc), or those that have had a replacement of any joint in the body, or have had surgery on any joint are in need of a machine that is programable like this.

nervis1]I know a lot of you already use this place, but just wanted to let anyone who is looking for motion control products that this place treats customers well, even us little guys. This source is actually amazing in the sense that you can order almost anything and even tailor it to your specifications. In order to provide such a service-- a complex system of ordering is needed. So far my head is pounding from trying to figure it out. That'll give you some idea how slow I am. If I ever do figure it all out though I think it's gonna be a gold mine for me and others. I'd never heard of it before tonight.
