The SMTCL-Schiess name has been associated with precision machine tools since 1866 when Mr. Ernest Schiess founded the company in Düsseldorf, Germany. SMTCL is located in Aschersleben and Franfurt Germany and builds precision machine tools for customers throughout the world.

Not only sales volume is increasing fast, but the level of high technology is surpassing most of the competitors. Daily 85 CNC machine tools and 350 conventional machine tools are shipped out. From small VMC or lathe to huge bed type milling machines or gigantic vertical/horizontal lathes.

After taking over the dealership from Vanguard last year, SMTCL decided to go by themselves, but the result is a drama!!!
2011 total sales in USA till 1 september :90.000 u$, Vanguard last year 1,8 million$.


For this kind of organisation, this is peanuts! Nobody wants to buy this machines directly from chinese trading company. No service , no spare parts, nothing!

i was convinced of the good product, but now we found, as agent, the products sucks!!! All machines have big problems, are delivered without ordered options, but the worse is that SMTCL does not care for service!!

Who has the same bad experience with this chinese dying supplier?
