Is that the 3040 router from CNCDIY? What's it like?

No. They are different but look similar, I had a couple of machines from them and it was a mistake. The build quality was rubbish, packaging was even worse which resulted in damaged machine beds and the controllers did not work properly, I had to send the controllers back at my cost and when the 'new' ones arrived they were faulty too. Also the back of the controller was not cut properly so the 'ports' did not fit and it was virtually impossible to put the leads in. The leads were not enclosed and able to be screwed on as mine are and when all come to all, they eventually admitted that they use 'used' parts for the contollers as well so I abandoned that route.

I approached a reliable company I know to build my design at my spec and that is what is for sale now. Good quality machines at a low cost!

Ok. Can you please tell me (or PM) me a price and some details for a 40x30 setup with larger stepper motors and a more powerful router (eg 1.2-1.5kw). Do you recommend air or water-cooled? And 2 collets that can take 2.0mm - 1/2" cutters. I am in Australia so an idea of shipping cost to postcode 3766 would be great. Thx
