igus will be exhibiting at booth 5613 in the Lakeside Center at IMTS 2010.
Products on show will include enclosed cable carriers optimized for chip protection, a horizontal guiding system for long travel machine-tool applications, and a hybrid linear guide that both rolls and slides for machine-guard doors.
igus’ RX Tube range is now available in two new interior heights: 63 and 73 millimeters. RX Tube is a fully enclosed cable carrier offering optimal protection from metal chips and debris. In tests, just 0.09 ounces of chips were detected inside after 251,900 cycles. RX Tube’s smooth, rounded contour has no projecting edges or gaps, which prevents chip accumulation. The lids, through which cables can be accessed, have an embedded locking mechanism and are easy to open with a screwdriver. The cable carrier was awarded the iF Design Award 2010, which is internationally recognized as a marker for good design.
Other noteworthy products include Guidelok: a horizontal guiding system for long travel, gliding applications. Guidelok keeps a cable carrier’s upper and lower runs apart so that metal chips can not get in between and cause abrasion. The new solution is ideal for machine-tool applications up to 164 feet.
Visitors to the show should also check out DryLin WJRM - a hybrid linear bearing designed to facilitate the manual opening and closing of machine guard doors - and DryLin T: heavy duty linear guides for extremely demanding environments.
igus’ IMTS theme for 2010 is, “Try it”. Visitors to the company’s booth will be able to experiment with interactive product displays, as well as take advantage of the company’s free sample scheme.
