    Optimization of HPGL *.plt files

I have a question / query: At our company we use various versions of AutoCAD to do our drawings and then plot them using the HP7475 plotter config to get a *.plt file. Our new CNC software (WinPC-NC) is able to import this file and we do direct engraving from there. There is a small HPGL optimizer (HPGLopt) add-on with the software that cleans up the plot file as well as improves the tool path to let the machine run more efficiently and effectively.

My question is: Is there any other HPGL optimizing software out there that we may be able to use or try.

Our problem is that on every PC that we have loaded the CNC software we have only been able to do one plot optimisation with the optimizer and thereafter it just keeps giving us errors for every other plot that we try and optimize which is very frustrating.

Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.
