hp 7580 b | | i am in the process of converting an hp 7580 b into a vinyl cutter i have found that a mimaki bladeholder fits my machine perfectly however i can not apply enough downpressure to cut sandblast mask material to fix this i fill a ballpoint pen tube with lead and affixed it to the head with 3m douuble sided tape aprox 3 ounces of lead the next prob i ran into was nife movement or wander to fix this i attached a rubber band around the clamp to hold the blade better seems to work as long as the pen speed is set slower than 6 otherwise it wanders upon sharp corners the next probi encountered was that the pen lift spring was not strong enough to lift it entirely off the material i installed a heavier spring ( carefull as to much spring and the pen down function will not work now my current problem i dont have a manual for my machine and am trying to adjust the platten pressure my material was to thick to load so i backed off the pinchwheel adjusters to get the material in after pressing chart hold it does its thing and then from what i know you can press axis align and it will align its limits and it did this with paper origionally know it just spits the material out the other side. any help would be awesome or if anyone has a manual the can spare or possible scan and email would be great as that the only one on ebay the guy wants more than i payed for the plotter to purchase it |
