| Also, you can click on the cut/plot button and click the panel tab to see what "lines" or "paths" will be cut! Not that this helps you fix anything but at least you won't waste material! For VE LXI Apprentice software. |

| Hi Suzie, Give this a whirl. I use to use the LXi software with one of my first plotters. Vinyl Express has you hooded when you buy there plotters as they only have one program capable of sending files to the plotter to be cut. That is the LXi Software. I use to cut AI files as well as EPS files simply by importing the image into Corel Draw. I would then copy the portion of the images I wanted to cut. Then I would copy and paste it into the LXi window. Sometimes when copy and pasting into LXI some object may become grouped strangly or distorted. To eliminate this convert the selected image to cureves in corel before copy and pasting. The thing I discoverd was not to "IMPORT" to Lxi, but to copy and past instead. I design everything in Corel Draw and copy and paste it into LXi when I use that plotter. I primarily cut on my Rolands and cut directly from Corel Draw. It sounds like the graphic you are trying to cut is a simple design. It might be easier to redraw it in Corel. I know that is what I would do......I have found that I can usually recreate graphis sometimes faster and way less stress full that trying to import a impossible graphic. Hope this helps you out. |

I am going to buy a vinyl cutter and I am new to this process. The cutter I am looking at has the LXI software included. Does the software work? I got the impresison that it is complicated to use. Woud appreciate any advice you can offer on the process Thanks |
