I need english instructions for rewiring hp 7475..please help

I have a hp 7475 cutting vinyl right now on windows XP. But it can't cut thick material that well. This website has a diagram in a pdf file for increasing the pressure through rewiring, can anyone help me out? It is in german.

Also another site offers just entering intialization commands for the port but I have no clue how get into dos type setup on XP. Here is the the forum post.

Hi, if you're talking about the pdf on luberth's site then the language just talks about how cheap it is. No real instructions on how to do it other than the schematic and the photo with where to connect it. The menu item below the german pdf contains the circuit and the wiring diagram. Looks as though all its doing is increasing the voltage on the pressure solenoid. Have a look at the second pdf....

The other site just makes a reference to changing the plotter initialisation string. The string is usually in the front of the hpgl/hpgl2 file or sometimes as an option on the plotter driver depending what plotter and age you have. Neither are really modified from DOS. If you're on XP and cutting from file, edit the string in the file. If you're cutting directly from an App you need to change either the apps options to include the string change when the app produces the file or change the plotters driver options in XP.

In the App I doubt you'll have an option to directly change the pressure. However try increasing the line weight ( thickness ) as this does set pen pressure to a degree..

For the 7485A you probably don't have a plotter init string driver option in XP.
