Hi,
I want to make film cutting machine. The idea is to cut stretchy clear films on 25 or 50kg rolls in widths up to 60cm.
The cut is variable over the cutting length (no sharp edges, basically long curve).
Been searching on the net for couple of days and looking for a template machine that can cut "stretch" films in variable widths, but no luck. All I found is couple of winders.

My idea is to make similar design, with a small cutting table between main cylinders, equipped with cutting knife (and possibly with pen marker), movable by stepper motor(s). End part (rewinding) of the machine is not needed since the cutting material can drop into bucket or something.
My Q is can be main cylinders driven with (NEMA) stepper motors or should I look into something else...?
Also I need a good sources for CNC components for building such a machine please (EU based preferably, or trusted China or USA).
So, any advices are really welcome!
