    wow really cool. In my work I need a scanner to put in the axis of a CNC mill. Anyone know about a afordable scanner to use. Or some kits??

    I've messed around with homemade 3d laser scanning. The software is still lacking big time. haven't had much usefull sucess. Have generated models. Just not good ones.

    Just some ideas. This software still has a long way to go to make it work for the home user. Need a good camera and a better laser. Not a cheap $20 one. Needs to be bright and thin. Also a good stepper controlled turntable is a plus.
