Ron, parts were received yesterday, and it has been converted. All went well. I'm anxiously awaiting next weekend to continue my progress.

The HDB design is already helping me, as, strapped for space, the cnc table took the place of my work table. By putting a sheet of steel across one end, I've come up with a space to work, AND have a cnc machine! It would have been more inconvenient with the raised rail.

Thank you for your awesome service and support... it's hard to come by these days!

    Jim

Jim I noticed you are going to use your table as a work table also. Just a quick word of caution - I don't think I would use it for welding after all the electronics are hooked up. I have had to do some welding on my table after finishing it up but I made sure to unhook all cable connections before doing it and I was still nervous about it even then. But it seemed to work without a glitch after hooking it all back up.

That's a good thought, Bill. I dont know why one would need to worry about it too much, as long as you have good grounding. After all, we are dealing with similar DC currents and voltages as plasma, when we weld. Well, MORE current, and less voltage while welding,..
My main concern would probably be the high freq AC Tig welding.

Perhaps Tom will chime in if he sees this post and,
    A: Ease our fears,
B: Recommend a tasty butter or spread that goes well with toasted parts.

Side note, I hope it's fine to do as I've envisioned some automated welding applications for my table.

Remember your high freq is only on the start, Just like your Esab plasma is (. Your inverter with it's true sq wave, only needs it for starting. DC,and AC output. Bet it's all a non issue with Tom's stuff.

    Good point Scott!

No progress this weekend. I had other pressing "employment" issues. Yeah, had to work on "other stuff".

Any evening work going on over there BB? I'm dying to see some more progress on your table. Ron is currently redesigning my table so it is easier for the fab shops to bend up the trays so I'm in limbo right now. I think my table will end up similar to yours now.

Sadly no..... work load has just been too great. Hopefully I can make some more progress soon, as I'm expecting the electronics in the next week or so.

A little more fab then disassembly for paint, and I can start the final assembly.

    uhg...... paint.

Sorry for slacking on the updates. The table has been running for about 2 weeks now, and I couldn't happier or more impressed! The air bladder/water table is absolutely fantastic!

The Hypertherm P-max 85 is very impressive, and cant say enough good things about it's performance.

Anyhow, here are a few pics of various things.

One thing I haven't seen mentioned, or, perhaps I missed, is what are you guys doing with your computers?
I wanted something I could protect the comp from the flying shop debris, grinding sparks and dust, welding nasties, etc. I also wanted some drawers to store consumables, paperwork, etc.
I picked up a cheap tool cart from Harbor freight, and "Pimped" it.
    What do you guys think?

I have a few more things I want to do with it, but this was todays progress on the cart, in between paying projects.
