So, now since i have never seen a plasma cut from somewhere else. is this good?
Can I expect a better cut? Without the waves?
Here are the settings I got the best cut for .075 mild steel
    Hypertherm Approx 39A , 104v
    Sheetcam 245 IPM
    Mach3 1000.2 Vel, 65 Accel
    Thc 18% 2/4 Volt

Is this a z thing? I tried running with thc off but i think there is a default set somewhere that turns in on automatic.

No dross or very very little.
Slight Bevel, If I lower the volts below 96 I have to tap out the part from sheet.

I read an old post that suggests removing ground from sensor card to stop electrical interference?
I have the Dragon cut thc setup.
    Where is the smart-kut screen?
No Ground, This widget cuts so quick i can't get my hand on it to check for vibration?
OK so i figured something out. I flipped over the parts an noticed that the outline of the part was pretty clean, so maybe its the THC settings?

I found out that I could turn the THC off right after I hit the run button.

Here is my results... So the waves are from partially the machine setup & the THC settings. The waves did get smaller but yet they were longer? huh?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Possible THC setting change

    Handymancan,

I just received an e-mail today from a customer who had a cut quality issue that may be similar to yours on the same gantry. Here is what he did to improve the cuts.

"Good Morning Ron, I received a tip from one other person on Tom's forum,
to reduce the THC setting from 30% to 18% and that smoothed the cut
lines out, so I'm still running your settings at a 100%."

It may be worth a try to see if it improves your cuts.

Yep that was me sending the tip.. what I found on my PP gantry using mach 3 30% was way to high for THC %. Other people had me chasing my tail for ghosts. Once I talked to Ron about my loose gear and Matt about the % and set it to 15-18 Bam Problem solved. I use the upgraded Ball screw that You sell Ron. This tip was given to me by Matt @bulltear I still realy dont trust the THC to be unattended cutting but most of my cutting as of late is .25 -.375 material with no realy warp.
