I,ve tried very hard to change version 8.1 fadal post to do subrutines at the begginning of program (L100 , L200 , etc) instead of seperate subprograms. I've got the post doing every thing else I like except this. If someone could point me in the right direction I would be most grateful!!!! This may not be possible if so please let me know. Thanks Tim |

| Post up some NC code explaining what you are trying to do your explanation was too vague in Nature for anyone that might know what they are doing to help you. I am going to give you the old stand by ask your dealer. The reason for this is some people who have older version have pirated software. I am not saying you are, but if you were and you were helped then that person is taking food out of their own mouth if they are a legal user of any software. Also there is another forumhttp://www.emastercam.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi All you may have to do is provide your sim# not a big deal and get all types of help. I will say the newest version is awesome and well worth the upgrade if you can afford it. |

| I do 95% of programing long hand. When I use mastercam I just run one depth pass for the varius deep pockets and profiles then manually change it to be like what I want. Alot of the parts when done with mastercam wind up to large for machine memory and have to drip feed (dont like to do this) plus when its saved from the machine for future use it can be kept in a single file. The company I work for purchassed Mastercam 8.1 @ 4 years ago (after I practicly had to beg). I havent had any CAM or CNC training had to learn by trial and error and talking to a few freinds outside of work and the manuals. Only post loaded is mpfadal2 ( maybe I.T. Dept thought it is all I need. Here is what I get just cutter comp around outside of a very simple 2x3 square with 1/2" endmill. % O0001(T) G20 G0G17G40G49G80G90H0E0Z0 ( 1/2 FLAT ENDMILL TOOL) T1M6 G0G90S1069M3E1X1.Y1.
