Getting Mcam to post a dwell after an M8

So, my machine has a small issue: The coolant pump needs to be replaced, but we want to put that off until it REALLY needs to be replaced. It normally tales a few moments for coolant to reach the tool. Yes, the check valve is functional.
So, we have been putting a G4 P1000 after every M8. I tweaked the post to spit it out, but all I can get it to do is a "G4". How do I get it to spit out the Pxxx?

    It's a Fanuc control...

    g4p1000

If my memory is right you can type your line in the post to look like this
    " G4 P1000 "

the " " symbles will force it out in the program as
    M8
    G4 P1000
    G43Z.1H1M3
