Will MPFan Post Processor good enough for my Sieg X2?

Hi,

After getting a very nice DVD tutorial on Mastercam X, I am happy playing away with creating toolpaths and converting them to G Code. I have a few questions if anyone can help to answer.

1. Is the MPFan post processor enough to generate codes for my cnc X2?

2. If I use other post processor included in MCX, will the gcode be usable with my X2?

Hi Steve,

Not sure if I understand your question. I am talking about my SIEG X2 milling machine. I am using the MPFan post processor found in mastercam X software. I am just wondering if there is a specific postprocessor for my X2 as there are specific post processor for Fanuc and other mills or I am ok using the mpfan post processor.

I am using mach 3.

MPFAN post works perfect with mach3,some editing may be needed,i always remove the A0.,since i dont have a fourth axis,and i remove the XO. at the end of the program,so the machine only goes to YO.just saves time with unessary extra traveling,just my preference
works good for me since this post works in hass and servo mill
