I'm looking for a working post for a 4 - axis Makino A77. The B-axis is an indexing table, indexing in 1deg. increments. This machine is going to be used in the developement of as cast prototype blocks and heads. So my thoughts were to have a post configured so that I can set my work offset off the center of the pallet, position my part in Mastercam where it is in the machine in relation to pallet center(MC origin) and let the post triangulate the indexed postions. I figured this to possibly be the best way as I will not have several work offsets, everything will be in relation to one work offset, reducing work set up errors and increasing relational accuracy. I'm trying to avoid dealing with developing a post with a post developer as it always seem to take for ever and you never seem to fully get what you want, end up dealing with what they gave you. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
